How to use it

  1. On the Today tab, type what you ate in one line — for example “2 eggs and toast”.
  2. Tap Log it. You get a confirmation screen with the items, calories and protein broken out.
  3. If something is wrong, tap that row and fix it right there. You can add or remove items too.
  4. Save, and it stacks up under “Today’s total” and in History.

You can write in English or Japanese — the App picks the right dictionary from the text itself, regardless of your phone’s language.

FAQ

What does it cost?
Free to download, with 20 free entries. From the 21st entry you need “Tabekaro Full Version” (US$4.99; varies by region). It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel.
If I don’t buy, do I lose my old records?
No. Viewing, editing, deleting and exporting past records to CSV always works, purchased or not. The purchase is only needed to add new entries.
Does deleting entries give my free entries back?
No — the free count is cumulative. This is stated up front so nobody is surprised.
How are the calories calculated?
An on-device food dictionary (about 250 Japanese items and about 165 English items) plus a parser reads the item, the quantity and the size, then multiplies the standard-portion values. Your text is never sent anywhere.
It didn’t recognise my food.
The wording may not be in the dictionary. On the confirmation screen use “Add item” and enter the name and calories by hand. E-mail us the phrasing and we will add it.
The numbers don’t match what I ate.
They are estimates from standard portions. Edit them on the confirmation screen — whatever you set is what gets saved.
New phone / reinstalled the app
Use “Restore Purchase” in Settings (same Apple Account). Records live only on the device, so export a CSV from Settings beforehand.
Is this a medical or diet-coaching app?
No. It is a self-tracking aid. It does not diagnose, treat, or give nutritional advice.
How do I get my analytics data deleted?
Your anonymous ID is shown at the bottom of the Settings screen. Send it to us and we will delete the matching events.
